Onatonda Lodge

  • Accommodations: Great room- Large room suitable for large group activities, large TV w/VCR & DVD players, fireplace, chairs, ceiling fans (not winterized). Screened dining porch-17 picnic tables, seats 136 on benches (add 10 with chairs).
  • Commercial Kitchen: Call for pricing. Food service personnel must provide written proof of training of ServSafe certfication. (Must provide copy of certificate for camp file.)

Boat House

  • Provide your own certified lifeguards with copy of certifications (2 min; one must have Small Craft Safety certification) for 25 boaters; add a Water Watcher for every 10 additional boaters; SCS must be on the lake in own tadpole.
  • Accommodations: Pedal boats, canoes, tadpoles, paddles, and PFDs provided.

Nature Nook

  • Accommodations: AKA “The Octagon,” houses nature paraphernalia with table and chairs.

Fire Circle

  • Must provide trained Basic Outdoor person
  • Accommodations: Large fire circle area, wood provided, surrounded by bleachers

Swimming Pool

  • Pool open May-August; must read and follow Waterfront Rules.
  • Provide your own certified lifeguard with copy of certifications; 25 swimmers per lifeguard (95 max).
  • Bathroom Facilities: Use of Sherwood bath house (4 toilets, 3 sinks, 5 showers).

Hiking Trail 1

  • Begins behind Sherwood Unit uphill to a picnic area and outdoor chapel, then downhill to exit behind Onatonda Lodge; takes approx. 1 hour.

Hiking Trail 2

  • Runs from Huckleberry Unit to Havens Unit

  • Special Instructions: Wear comfortable clothes & lace-up shoes. Troops provide drinks, snacks, troop first aid kit, & qualified first-aider.

Archery

  • Special Instructions: Wear comfortable clothes & lace-up shoes. Troops provide drinks, snacks, troop first aid kit, & qualified first-aider.

Swimming

  • Group Size: 10-25
  • Ages: All
  • Special Instructions: Call camp office to check availability of earlier & later dates. (May-August)

Canoeing

  • Group Size: 10-12
  • Ages: B & up
  • Special Instructions: Wear old tennis shoes, shorts, T-shirt, sunscreen, sunglasses and hat.

Kayaking

  • Group Size: 8-10
  • Ages: J & up
  • Special Instructions: Wear old tennis shoes, shorts, T-shirt, sunscreen, sunglasses and hat. Bring change of clothes, towel, & extra shoes. Must have participated in a canoe class.

Fishing/ Cane Poles

  • Group Size: 8-10
  • Ages: All
