Troop Camping & Programs

The Council does not maintain a full time staff on the campsite and does not offer a resident camp on the property.  Troops may reserve Camp Tombigbee anytime during the year. 

Reservations are made on a space available basis and applications

should be made at least six (6) weeks in advance.  By accessing the calendar located on this site you can check date availability. Reservations for use of camp are made by contacting the Camp Director.  Please note all facilities must be shared with troops camping at the site.  Please discuss schedule and shared kapers of the facilities with the other troops.  The keys to the Camp may be obtained by contacting the Tuscaloosa Office (205-759-5421) or the Camp Manager.

Troop/Service Unit Registration Packet

Sisters Inn

  • Accommodations: Winterized lodge with central heat/air, toilets, showers, phone, TV, VCR
  • Capacity: 18
  • Sleeping Arrangements: Bunk beds
  • Bathroom Facilities: 3 Full baths- must be shared with other troops camping at the site.
  • Cooking Facilities: Kitchen with stove, sink, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher

Sherwood Barn

  • Accommodations: Not winterized, screened, bathroom shared with lodge, electric lights, ceiling fans
  • Capacity: 21
  • Sleeping Arrangements: Bunk beds and singles
  • Bathroom Facilities: Shared with Sisters Inn
  • Inside Kitchen:  Yes- no stove, running water, refrigerator, and cooking equipment
  • Cook Shelter:  No however may use covered pavilion located a distance from the building

Treetops

  • Accommodations:  Tent area -maximum 6 tents
  • Sleeping Arrangements: Bring your own tents or the Council has 4 (5-8 person) tents for check out.
  • Bathroom Facilities:  Shared with Sister’s Inn
  • Inside Kitchen:  No
  • Cook Shelter:  Yes, covered pavilion, with cooking equipment and tables

Outdoor Pavilion

  • Accommodations: Picnic tables, electricity, running water
  • Capacity: N/A
  • Sleeping Arrangements: Day use only
  • Bathroom Facilities: Shared with Sisters Inn
  • Cooking Facilities: Grills

TOTAL CAPACITY

Accommodations/Capacity: Overnight- 40 Day- 60+

Bathroom Facilities: 3 Full baths

There are no staffed Program Activities at camp at this time.  It may be possible to arrange certain activities by contacting the Camp Manager.
