Bio

Hilary Perry began working at GSNCA in January of 2008 and is responsible for media relations and branding as well as marketing and advocacy in the Girl Scouts’ 36-county territory. Prior to the Girl Scouts, she has worked as the Communications Director of Cornerstone Schools of Alabama, a non-profit, Christian school system for inner-city children. Prior to Cornerstone, she worked at Children's Hospital as the communications specialist. Her first job out of college was a magazine editor and photographer for several national outdoor magazines.

Hilary is active in several professional organizations. She has served for several years on the board of the Public Relations Council of Alabama, most recently serving as president in 2010.  She also serves on the Birmingham Chamber’s YP Roundtable, and is involved with Executive Women International and the Public Relations Society of America.

Hilary has always been involved with civic organizations and has served on the board of Catalyst, was part of Leadership UAB 2009, was involved with the Alabama Ballet Jr. Board, and is very active in her local alumni society. She has also served on the board of directors of the Children’s Dance Foundation.

Hilary holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Public Relations, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration both from Troy University. She lives in Birmingham with her husband, two cats and adorable new daughter.
