
Bio
Shanna has a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Sociology and a minor in Social Work. She also holds a Master’s of Public Administration both of which come from Western Kentucky University. During her time in college Shanna worked as a substitute teacher. She also conducted research with her professors on education and public policy. After coming to Alabama she continued to work as a substitute teacher in the Tuscaloosa City School System.
Shanna joined the Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama in March of 2011. She works as a Volunteer Manager/Learning Manager developing courses for adult volunteers engaged with the Girl Scouts. She also works in a supportive role encouraging volunteers to reach their full potential.
Shanna is married and has two wonderful dogs - Lizzie and Ennis. She enjoys cooking, reading science fiction novels, and being outdoors. She loves nothing more than spending time with her husband and riding motorcycles.
