Workforce Development

GSNCA believes education and developing skills are the keys to a girls’ success in the workforce and we are proud to lead the way to ensure girls are prepared to fulfill the needs of their communities. In our programs girls learn leadership and teambuilding skills but also career skills such as working on computers, and planning and time management – all important in being productive employees.

Our focus on Science, Technology Engineering and Math gives girls DSC_0025 webopportunities to meet women engineers, study insects, water, fossil fuels and rocks; experience simulated flight, the sky and planets and even step inside a human cell. Our Financial Literacy programs teach girls how to spend, borrow and donate money and also teaches them about exchange rates, credit cards, the stock market. They also have opportunities to discuss careers in finance.

Importance of Early Education

The ages of birth to 5-years old are key years in a child’s learning. The earlier they learn to work with others, develop healthy habits, manage money, the better employees they will make in the future.  Girl Scout Daisies learn about spending money, how to eat right and exercice and team-building skills. They also participate in our Cookie Sale Program - a top-rated Financial Literacy program where girls learn ethics, budgeting, money management, marketing and sales skills.
