Program Level: Adult Volunteers, Ambassadors, Brownies, Cadettes, Daisies, Juniors, Seniors
Each year Girl Scouts and their families unite with hundreds of millions of people around the world in turning off their lights for one hour, Earth Hour, on the last Saturday in March from 8:30–9:30 p.m. Earth Hour encourages participants to go beyond one hour by deciding to take action every day during the next year to help make a difference.
Girls and troops may also decide to take action on their own by picking a day of their choice and turning off their lights to help save energy. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you or your group participates so that you can be included in the Council list. Patches are available through the council shop for 75¢ each.
