Program Level: Brownies, Cadettes, Juniors
Grade level: Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes

Registration deadline: October 3, 2013
Girl Scouts will participate in hands-on activities on this fun day. Each two-hour session includes a docent-led tour and a mixed media art activity program. Girl Scouts will learn about the elements of art—color, line, shape and texture—while they develop their own artistic vision. Media includes collage, watercolor, oil pastel and other materials for embellishment. We will tour the museum’s exhibitions: Encounters: Cal Breed, American Beauty: Selections from the Wiginton Collection, American Studio Glass and Buccellati Silver Animals. Materials provided. Daisies and Cadettes will receive a fun patch. Brownies will earn the Painting badge and Juniors will earn the Drawing badge. Due to the program capacity, the adult-to-girl ratios found in Volunteer Essentials will be strongly enforced with adult program attendance. Register for this program through the Huntsville Museum of Art, Laura E. Smith, director of education/Museum Academy, at 256-535-4350 x222, or click here to download a registration form by October 3. A confirmation letter will be sent upon receipt of registration. Questions? Call or email Laura E. Smith at 256-535-4350 x222 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Space is limited, so call now. Sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis!
