GSNCA promotes healthy living through a variety of programs that focus on wellness, health issues and physical activities. These programs emphasize values and positive strength-building exercises.
Practicing these values and habits can help prevent adolescent pitfalls such as eating disorders, substance abuse, cutting, promiscuity and suicide. Each Girl Scout program is age-appropriate and set in an environment where girls are challenged and mentored with the help of experienced adult volunteers. Girl Scouts can choose to participate in many different achievement program activities dealing with healthy living.
