Getting Started as a Volunteer
Welcome and thank you for your interest in volunteering with Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama!
Volunteering with Girl Scouts is a rewarding experience as you will have many opportunities to help and guide girls in your community to become leaders as they develop the courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place. Careful selection and placement of volunteers is a priority for our council.
Step 1: Start the volunteer application process by completing A & B
You must be at least 19 years old to volunteer. If your application is approved, you will be officially appointed to the position for which you are selected. Until officially notified, applicants may not serve in appointed volunteer positions. For example, a volunteer applying as a Girl Scout leader may not begin meeting with the troop as the leader until officially appointed to the position.
B. Criminal Background Check
In considering you for a volunteer position with Girls Scouts of North-Central Alabama you will be required to successfully pass a background screening. To do this you must create an account with Verified Volunteers to submit information required for the background screening. You will automatically receive a copy of the completed report.
Create your log-in and enter the Good Deed Code: 97mncde at the link below to be processed correctly as a Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama volunteer. (The password is case sensitive and must be entered exactly as printed.)
