Online Learning Opportunities

As a new volunteer with GSNCA we ask that you complete two online trainings. Online Volunteer Orientation (OVO) and Leadership Essentials (LE) are offered online through Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA). Both classes take about 45 minutes and offer a new or returning volunteer the tools and core of Girl Scouting.

To access both courses:

  1. Go to: http://training.girlscouts.org/
  2. Click either “Online Volunteer Orientation (OVO)” or “Leadership Essentials (LE)”.
  3. Enter the password: discover.  There will be a short introduction.
  4. Click on “Learning Log” next to “Table of Context” to set up the Learning Log.
    • If you don’t set the Learning Log up and complete the form you will not receive credit for the training.
  5. Return to the Table of Contents to begin the course.  You will be asked to respond to questions in your Learning Log during the course.  At the end of each section you will need to click on the Table of Contents to move to the next section.
  6. Save your Learning Log at the end of the session.  You do not have to complete the course in one session and will be given an access code to return to your Learning Log.
